Storytelling Retreat

Why:

Stories connect us, heal us, and transform our experiences into beacons of hope, joy, and wisdom to inspire and help each other. People who share their stories offer irreplaceable gifts to the generations that follow them, and it’s not just good for others to tell your story…it’s good for you.

What You Get:

With more than 25 years of professional writing experience, I’ll help you uncover the heart of your story and find the words to share it authentically. Whether you’re working on a memoir, a business book, a family legacy project, or a fictional book, this retreat offers guidance and support to help you master the following objectives:

Harnessing Your Voice: Guidance to uncover your unique, authentic storytelling voice
Clarifying Your Story: A clear process for identifying what your story is really about
Overcoming Inner Criticism: Exercises to silence self-doubt and spark creativity
Interactive Learning: Instruction and group conversations to help refine your narrative
Story Mapping: Hands-on activities to chart your story’s path

A Process for Writing Your Book: Four phases of writing a book that will get it over the finish line.
Publishing Insights: Resources to navigate the publishing process
Community Connection: Interactive discussions and community-building with other storytellers
Prompts and Brainstorms: Writing prompts and collaborative brainstorming sessions
Tailored Feedback: Individualized feedback and opportunities to ask questions
Inspiring Atmosphere: A welcoming space to foster creativity and connection
